At Gallery Nevena, we want you to buy with confidence. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, we will refund you the full amount for any returns that are completed within ten (10) business days following the date of purchase.
You may exchange an item purchased from us at any time and receive credit for the full price you originally paid (excluding sales tax) towards the purchase of a new piece of merchandise.
Limitations on Returns and Exchanges
Applies Only to Items Purchased at Gallery Nevena
Only items originally purchased at Gallery Nevena are eligible for return or exchange. However, we do accept select pieces of fine art on consignment from time to time.
No Return or Exchange of Damaged Artwork
The staff of Gallery Nevena shall inspect any items presented for return or exchange. We may—at our sole discretion—reject any piece of art that displays visible damage or wear, including abrasions, chips, scratches, tears, discolorations, holes, etc.
No Future Store Credit
Store credit offered as part of an exchange is valid only at the time of the transaction. Credits may not be stored or accumulated for future use. Any unused credit expires immediately and becomes worthless.
Each Piece May Only be Exchanged Once
You may exchange an item purchased from us as set forth in this document. However, any merchandise acquired through an exchange may not be returned or exchanged again, even if the new item cost more than the original piece and the buyer paid some of the price out of pocket. The intent of this policy is to prevent buyers from abusing their exchange priveleges.
Shipping Costs
In the event of a return or exchange, the buyer agrees to bear all shipping and transportation costs. We strongly encourage you to purchase insurance before shipping any valuable artwork to us. We are not liable for any damage that occurs in transit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why don't you issue refunds after ten business days?
Please understand that nearly all of our artwork is sold on a consignment basis. We keep a certain percentage of the sale price of each item to cover our costs and remit the balance to the seller (who in many cases is the artist). Once we've paid the seller, we cannot recover those funds. For this reason, we will not issue cash refunds after ten business days.
Why can I only exchange an item one time?
Our goal is for you to be satisfied with your purchase. However, in our experience, there are inevitably people who will abuse exchange priveleges if there are no limitations. We think that offering buyers the opportunity to exchange a piece once is a good compromise.
Why can't I use store credit for future purchases?
While we are happy to offer credit towards a new purchase of art, it must be used at the time of the exchange. We do not want the headaches that go along with managing customers' accounts and keeping track of how much credit each has accumulated.
If you wish to make an exchange, but cannot find an item in our inventory to your liking, you are free to make an exchange at a later time. We will be happy to notify you when new pieces arrive. Alternately, you may inquire about selling your old artwork on a consignment basis with us.
